The story behind the line 錢來也 “Money, come!” It's a cheerful call to Caishen, the God of Wealth, inviting good fortune in. At the lunar New Year, families welcome him into the house, a custom called jie Caishen, "welcoming the God of Wealth", with incense and offerings of fish, fruit and ingot-shaped dumplings.
錢來也 (qián lái yě) is literally "money comes!": 錢 money, 來 come, and 也, an old-fashioned exclamation, the way a hero in an old novel or opera announces himself: "here I come!" So: here comes the money!
Caishen (財神), the God of Wealth, is welcomed into homes and shops at the start of every lunar year. On the fifth day, families light incense and set out fish, fruit and ingot-shaped dumplings to invite him in. His civil form, a smiling court official in robes holding a gold ingot, stands for prosperity earned honestly: the legend of Bi Gan says he has no heart, so he cannot play favorites when he shares fortune.
A Next Level 3633 cotton muscle tank, soft combed ring-spun cotton with dropped armholes, printed with the design and its line.
