The story behind the line “World's best listener.” It's a play on her name. Guanyin means "the one who perceives the sounds of the world." She's the bodhisattva of compassion, and the Lotus Sutra says whoever calls on her in trouble is heard. So she really is the world's best listener.
Guanyin (觀音), “the one who perceives the sounds of the world,” is the bodhisattva of compassion. The Lotus Sutra teaches that whoever calls on her in distress is heard. Since about the twelfth century she has been shown in China as a serene woman in white robes, with a small image of Amitābha Buddha in her crown, a vase of pure water and a willow branch to sprinkle it, seated on a lotus.
A Next Level 3633 cotton muscle tank, soft combed ring-spun cotton with dropped armholes, printed with the design and its line.
