The story behind the line “Roses in December.” It's the sign from the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe. In December 1531, on Tepeyac hill near Mexico City, Mary appeared to Juan Diego, and the bishop asked for a sign. She sent him to gather roses blooming out of season in winter, and when he opened his cloak, his tilma, to show them, her image was on the cloth.
Catholic tradition tells that in December 1531, on Tepeyac hill near Mexico City, the Virgin Mary appeared to Juan Diego, an Indigenous man, and asked for a church to be built there. When the bishop wanted a sign, she sent Juan Diego to gather roses blooming out of season. He carried them in his tilma, and when he opened it, her image was on the cloth: a young woman with a mestiza face, wrapped in a starry mantle and surrounded by rays of sunlight.
A Next Level 3633 cotton muscle tank, soft combed ring-spun cotton with dropped armholes, printed with the design and its line.
