“Are we there yet?” St James the Greater, Santiago Peregrino.
James, son of Zebedee, was a Galilean fisherman who left his nets with his brother John to follow Jesus, who called the pair Boanerges, the sons of thunder. He was the first apostle to die for his faith, around the year 44. Tradition holds that he rests at Santiago de Compostela, and since the Middle Ages pilgrims have walked the Camino to his shrine. He is pictured as one of them: broad hat, staff, water gourd and the scallop shell that became his sign.
Printed on a heavyweight, garment-dyed Comfort Colors tee with a soft, lived-in fade.
From The Deity Project, a living encyclopedia of the sacred.
Three ways to wear it: the classic tee is soft and lightweight ($29); the garment-dyed tee is heavier, with a softly faded, lived-in colour ($36); the garment-dyed one-ink tee prints the design and its line in a single ink, in soft earthy colours ($34).
