“Said nothing. Did everything.” St Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church.
The story behind the line. St Joseph never says a single word in the Gospels, yet he acts at every turn. Each time an angel speaks to him in a dream, he simply gets up and does it: he takes Mary into his home, leads the family to safety in Egypt and back, and raises Jesus in Nazareth. He's known as the Silent Saint.
Joseph of Nazareth was a carpenter of David's line, a quiet man whom the Gospels never quote. Warned by an angel in a dream, he took Mary into his home, guided the family to Egypt and back, and raised Jesus in Nazareth. Christians remember him as a just and gentle protector, patron of fathers, workers and the Church itself. He is often shown holding the Child and a flowering lily, or resting by his tools, a steady presence at the heart of the Holy Family.
Printed on a heavyweight Comfort Colors garment-dyed sweatshirt, soft and lived-in.
