Loki is the shape-shifting wit of the Norse myths: of giant stock, sworn blood-brother to Odin, and forever in and out of trouble with the gods. Sometimes his cleverness rescues them, sometimes it ruins them. Hiding from the gods as a salmon, he knotted the first fishing net, the very tool that later caught him. Poems, and perhaps old carvings, remember him bound, with his wife Sigyn beside him. An Icelandic artist of 1765 drew him grinning, in the dress of his own day, with his net.
The design and its line printed in a single ink on a heavyweight garment-dyed Comfort Colors tee in soft, lived-in colours: gold on the deep dyes, warm ink on the pale ones.
